Plantforce supplies everything from self-drive mini diggers to 52-tonne excavators, and pretty much everything in between – including specialist machinery you might not find elsewhere. What’s more, we have our own CCNSG-cleared, CPCS and PTS-accredited plant operators, so we can provide the expertise as well as the equipment.

With a comprehensive fleet, and strategically placed depots in Bristol, Exeter and Bridgwater, we can respond quickly to a wide range of requirements, across the region.

Being one of the South West’s top excavator plant hirers is important to us, so we provide meticulously maintained equipment for specialist needs, including long-reach, demolition and quarry-spec machines. We also offer a full range of attachments, including breakers, shears, pulverisers and rotational grabs.

Hinkley

Hinkley Point C will be one of the largest projects the South West has ever seen, and Plantforce was the first plant provider on this prestigious construction project. A close working partner with the Somerset Chamber of Commerce and the Hinkley Supply Chain, Plantforce is an EDF-approved supplier with six years’ on-site experience in the nuclear industry, and has a dedicated on-site Project Manager and Health and Safety Officer at Hinkley.

With a depot just 30 minutes from Hinkley C, at junction 23 of the M5 in Dunball industrial estate, Plantforce is ideally positioned for the Hinkley Point site, and has the new Park and Ride and Freight Management Centre on its doorstep.

Demolition Equipment

Plantforce provides an extensive range of demolition-spec excavators and attachments – to suit any need, on any scale. Our rigs range from 3 to 52-tonne machines, with reaches of up to 15.5 metres. Whether you’re dismantling, site clearing or slab breaking, we can equip you for specific needs and complex working environments, for self-drive or with expert operators.

Rail Specialists

Safety is paramount when it comes to rail maintenance projects. So to help you minimise risk to operators and travellers, Plantforce excavators are kitted out with the very latest safety systems. These include Prolec safety control systems such as the PME400 with track isolator, plus fully automated quick-hitch hydraulics, 360° cameras, and rail-spec height restrictors and slew limiters.

We have worked with Plantforce since 2002. They provide a dedicated account manager, and Rail specific plant to meet our requirements.
